About Nova Complex
Established in 2023, Nova Complex (“Nova”) is built on a foundation of deep industry expertise and a clear mission: to catalyse the development of next-generation digital infrastructure across Finland and beyond. We are committed to accelerating the energy transition by delivering high-value, sustainable solutions that meet the evolving needs of global hyperscale customers.
As a full-stack, vertically integrated platform, Nova combines local insight with vast experience in designing tailored infrastructure that optimizes both performance and efficiency. We are focused on markets with a strong growth trajectory, ensuring that our projects contribute positively to the local economy and the future of digital connectivity. At Nova, we don’t just manage infrastructure; we build the backbone of a sustainable digital future.
About the Role
Responsible for the full-lifecycle management of mechanical systems in Finnish data centers, including Cooling system, water supply and drainage, fire mechanical systems and free cooling equipment. Ensure 7x24 safe and efficient operation, optimize energy consumption to align with Finland’s carbon neutrality goals, comply with local and EU regulations, and support overall operational stability.
Core Responsibilities
Mechanical System O&M: Strategic Governance of Thermal Management Systems for mechanical equipment, covering precision air conditioners (CRAC/CRAH), chillers, cooling towers, water pumps, pipeline systems, water supply and drainage equipment, fire mechanical facilities (smoke exhaust fans, fire dampers), gas fire extinguishing systems, etc., and promptly eliminate hazards. Maximize Finland’s low-temperature advantage to optimize free cooling and heat recovery systems, reducing energy consumption and PUE.
Fault & Emergency Handling: Critical Incident Management & Root Cause Analysis (precision air conditioner failure, pipeline leakage, etc.), conduct emergency disposal per Finnish OSH Act and safety standards, and minimize business impact.
Compliance & Safety Control: Ensure operations comply with Finnish mechanical regulations, EN 50600 series, GDPR and OSH Act. Participate in safety drills (extreme cold, fire, equipment failure) and hidden danger inspections.
System Optimization: Analyze operation data, optimize HVAC airflow and cooling modes, and participate in energy-saving projects (waste heat reuse, green energy integration, equipment automation upgrading).
Supplier & Document Management: Cooperate with local suppliers, fire authorities and regulatory bodies, supervise maintenance quality. Maintain standardized technical documents compliant with Finnish and EU requirements.
Team Collaboration: Provide mechanical technical support to the team, share experience on low-temperature operation technologies, and coordinate with electrical teams for seamless system operation.
