About the Role

We are looking for a QAQC Manager to be our dedicated subject matter expert for quality oversight on-site, fixed-term position (12–18 months). In this role, you will hold the technical lead for ensuring that the physical execution of the project meets our engineering standards and regulatory requirements.

This is a position for a professional who takes pride in technical precision. Working as a senior individual contributor, you will have the autonomy to manage the quality process and ensure that our data center is built to the highest specifications.

What You’ll Be Doing With Us

• Technical Quality Governance: Set the quality benchmarks for the project. Oversee the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure all site activities strictly adhere to Finnish Building Codes (Rakentamismääräykset) and industry standards.

• High-Stakes Site Verification: Perform rigorous, hands-on inspections of Civil, Structural, and especially MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) installations. You will verify that the installation of UPS, generators, and cooling systems meets the precise tolerances required for hyperscale data centers.

• Technical Validation of Records: Work alongside the Document Controller to review technical submittals, test reports, and "As-Built" data. Your role is to validate the technical accuracy of these records before they are integrated into the final project handover.

• Commissioning Oversight (Cx): Act as the technical bridge between construction and commissioning. You will verify that all pre-functional checks and static testing are completed to the highest standard, ensuring a smooth transition to Functional Performance Testing (FPT).

• Non-Conformance Leadership: Lead the technical investigation into quality deviations. You will conduct root-cause analyses (RCA) and collaborate with contractors to implement practical, high-quality corrective actions.

• Energy & Heat Recovery Compliance: Ensure that the specific technical requirements for Finland’s energy efficiency standards, including waste heat recovery systems, are met and documented correctly.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven Field Experience: 8+ years of experience in technical oversight, QAQC, or site management within mission-critical environments (Data Centers, Power Plants, or large-scale Industrial projects). Your track record of successfully delivering high-stakes infrastructure is our primary interest.

• Finnish Standards & Regulations: A solid understanding of Finnish building codes (Rakentamismääräykset), safety standards, and local permitting processes.

• Technical Depth: The ability to read and challenge complex P&IDs, electrical single-line diagrams, and BIM models. You should be comfortable verifying advanced MEP systems (UPS, cooling, and heat recovery) against design specifications.

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in both Finnish and English is mandatory to effectively coordinate with local subcontractors and our international team.

• Education & Certifications: A background in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) from a University of Applied Sciences (AMK), Technical College, or University. Extensive field experience and relevant vocational certifications (e.g., electrical safety, pressure systems) are highly valued and can substitute for formal degrees.

• Independence: A self-motivated professional with the "Trust but Verify" mindset, capable of working autonomously and making sound technical judgments on-site.
