About the Role
This is the first in-house procurement role in Finland for Nova Complex. You will handle end-to-end procurement of M&E and energy equipment across our Loviisa and Kouvola data centre campuses, while also laying the groundwork for a procurement function that can grow with the business.
You will work primarily in English within an international environment. Finnish is not required but is useful for local stakeholder engagement.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Day-to-day procurement
Manage end-to-end procurement activities including RFQs, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, contract execution, and purchase order processing for M&E and energy equipment
Develop and maintain a qualified Nordic and local vendor base across key IDC equipment categories such as UPS, cooling systems, switchgear, generators, and other critical infrastructure components
Oversee logistics coordination, customs clearance, delivery scheduling, and on-site equipment acceptance
Compliance
Ensure all procurement activities comply with EU regulations, Finnish commercial law, import/export requirements, and internal approval processes
Building the function (over time)
Develop and refine local procurement SOPs as the organisation scales
Support vendor ESG assessments in line with Finnish and EU sustainability requirements
Collaborate with legal and finance teams to adapt and manage supplier contracts under Finnish jurisdiction
Stakeholder communication
Provide regular updates to management on procurement progress, cost developments, and supplier risk
Ensure alignment with international supply chain and project teams across regions
What We’re Looking For
Essential
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
• 5+ years of procurement experience in M&E equipment or industrial/infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of EU procurement practices and Nordic contracting norms
• Experience with ERP / e-procurement systems (e.g. SAP, Coupa or similar)
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Eligibility to work in Finland or ability to obtain a valid work permit
Preferred
Experience in data centres, energy, or large-scale infrastructure projects
Conversational Finnish
Experience with cross-border EU logistics and customs processes
Exposure to matrix or multi-stakeholder working environments
Personal qualities
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
Strong communication skills across international and cross-cultural teams
Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and precision
Additional Information
This is a full-time position based in Finland. The role involves working closely with international stakeholders and supporting complex infrastructure project delivery.
