We are committed to accelerating the energy transition by delivering high-value, sustainable solutions that meet the evolving needs of global hyperscale customers.
As a full-stack, vertically integrated platform, Nova combines local insight with vast experience in designing tailored infrastructure that optimizes both performance and efficiency. We are focused on markets with a strong growth trajectory, ensuring that our projects contribute positively to the local economy and the future of digital connectivity. At Nova, we don’t just manage infrastructure; we build the backbone of a sustainable digital future.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our growing team in Finland. As our first in-house procurement professional in Finland, you will play a key role in establishing and developing our local procurement function, supplier network and processes.
You will take ownership of procurement for Nova Complex’s major data centre projects in Loviisa and Kouvola, covering contractor packages across civil construction, infrastructure, lifting, transportation and MEP works.
You will work closely with international project, engineering and supply chain teams, as well as local and international contractors and suppliers, ensuring procurement aligns with technical requirements, project schedules and cost targets.
Your Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end procurement for construction materials and subcontractor packages, from sourcing and tendering through negotiations, contracting and purchase orders.
Lead procurement and tendering of key civil construction and infrastructure packages, including site preparation, earthworks, foundations, roads, utilities and substation civil works. This includes related site infrastructure such as drainage, stormwater systems, fire protection networks and cable trenches.
Procure structural and building envelope works, including roofing, façades and curtain wall systems, and coordinate with international design and engineering teams and Finnish contractors to ensure procurement specifications align with technical requirements.
Build and maintain a strong Finnish supplier and contractor network across construction, infrastructure, MEP, lifting and transportation.
Coordinate lifting, rigging and heavy transportation for large equipment and data centre modules, including power distribution modules, HVAC modules and diesel generator sets, from ports or warehouses to the project site, in line with the construction schedule.
Support procurement of MEP installation and commissioning services, including equipment interconnections, piping and cabling.
Coordinate logistics, customs, delivery schedules and on-site equipment acceptance.
Establish and improve local procurement processes, ensuring compliance with Finnish legislation, EU requirements and internal policies.
Work with project, engineering, finance, legal and international supply chain teams to manage costs, contracts, supplier performance, risks and delivery.
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of procurement experience, preferably in construction, industrial or infrastructure projects
Proven experience in procuring construction materials and subcontractor packages
Proven experience in leading tendering across multiple construction work packages, ideally covering a complete building or major infrastructure project
Strong understanding of Finnish construction practices and commercial contracting, including YSE
Strong commercial negotiation and supplier management skills
An established network of suppliers and contractors in Finland
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or a related field
Fluent Finnish and English, both written and spoken
Right to work in Finland or eligibility to obtain a valid work permit
Preferred
Experience in data centre, energy, industrial or other mission-critical infrastructure
Experience with cross-border EU logistics and customs
Experience building procurement processes or functions from the ground up
Knowledge of Finnish construction contracts and/or FIDIC
Experience in procuring or coordinating lifting, heavy transportation or large equipment installation services
Knowledge of MEP requirements, including power distribution, HVAC and fire protection
Familiarity with Finnish building permit and environmental processes
Experience in matrix or multi-stakeholder environments
Mandarin language skills and knowledge of the Asian business environment
What We Value
We value independent ownership and a commercial mindset, with a strong focus on cost, quality, schedule and risk.
You should be comfortable managing procurement activities with limited guidance and communicating effectively across international teams and with Finnish contractors and suppliers in a fast-paced project environment.
What We Offer
Opportunity to build and develop Nova Complex’s procurement function in Finland
A key role in major data centre and digital infrastructure projects
Collaboration with international, cross-functional and global teams
The chance to grow with a rapidly developing organisation
